The LGBT Coalition was established to improve and preserve the wellbeing of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Identified people of all races and ethnicities. By offering a multitude of services using innovative advocacy, community outreach programs and events, referral services and more, the Coalition strives to build stronger communities and families by bridging the gaps that exist between members of the LGBT community itself and mainstream society.
The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24. Community Action provides two great groups for queer and trans youth.
Generation Q is a confidential educational and social/support group for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth and straight allies. This peer-led group provides an opportunity for youth to build community, and provides support, advocacy, and education on GLBTQ topics.
