Summer Youth Employment Program
Good News! The Franklin Hampshire Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is a live and well.
As a result of the passage of the Federal Stimulus bill our area will have a SYEP with over 300 jobs available for youth and young adults this summer ages 14-24 years old.
The program is designed to place low income participants in subsidized summer jobs throughout the Franklin, Hampshire and North Quabbin areas. In order to obtain one of these jobs we need you to complete the Summer Employment application and we will have to verify much of the information on your application. This information will only be used to verify eligibility for participation in the SYEP and to compile statistical reports required by the U. S. Department of Labor and the Massachusetts Department of Workforce Development. The information on this application is confidential and cannot be released to the public without your approval.
The staff of the SYEP realizes that completion of the application and verification of your eligibility can be a difficult job. Our job is to help you in this process as much as we can. If you have any questions, please contact us at our Greenfield (774-4361) or Northampton offices (586-6506).
